Short Information:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024. Eligible candidates can apply for CTET Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Junior Level) between 17 September 2024 and 16 October 2024. Candidates who wish to make corrections to their submitted application forms can do so from 21-25 October 2024. Read further for details on eligibility, fees, important dates, and exam information. Eligibility Criteria
CTET Primary Level (Class I to V)
Criteria | Description |

Qualification | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE norms OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Special Education |
CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)
Criteria | Description |

Qualification | Graduation and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) OR Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed. as per NCTE norms OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. OR Post-Graduation with 55% marks and passed/appearing in 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. |
Candidates with a B.Ed. recognized by NCTE are eligible to appear in TET/CTET.
How to Apply for CTET December 2024 Exam
- Visit the official CTET website and complete the online application form between 17 September 2024 and 16 October 2024.
- Choose your preferred exam center carefully as limited slots are available per city.
- Ensure all documents are ready before filling the form (Eligibility Proof, ID, Address Details, etc.).
- Upload scanned copies of required documents (Photo, Signature, ID Proof).
- Before final submission, review all the details thoroughly.
- Submit the application fee if required. Incomplete applications without the fee will not be accepted.
- After successful submission, take a printout of the final form for future reference.
Note: Exam centers are limited, and slots may fill up quickly. Apply early to secure your preferred center.
CTET December 2024 Exam Details
The exam will be held on 14-15 December 2024, with the admit card available before the exam date. The exam will consist of two papers:
- Paper I: For candidates applying for teaching positions from Class I to V (Primary Level).
- Paper II: For candidates applying for teaching positions from Class VI to VIII (Junior Level).
